Original oil painting on canvas completed in less that eight hours over 3 days. The subject is loosely based on the atmosphere of an outback sheep station in Central Australia. |

Out of the most negative situations can come a good thing. Such as a painting from a flat tyre. |
There I was sitting waiting for my car to be repaired thumbing through some farming magazines when I started getting some ideas. They fell together in my head and became one internal vision. They then morphed into a clear painting in my head which started yelling to be done. |
As usual I didn't have a canvas the right proportions for the work, so some shopping had to come first. This was quickly followed by the intense work of getting the picture out of my head and on to the canvas. The time disappeared and suddenly, it seemed, there it was - nearly complete. |
I left the work for a day or so to just look at it. I also posted it on to my Facebook page with some very positive feedback. The encouragement I gained from this plus a little time to plan the final moves on the artwork were all I needed. Coming Home is the result. |
