Point Leo Victoria is an ocean beach famous for surfing. Apart from attracting those that want to catch a wave, the wide sandy beaches and nearby wetlands are a wonderful place for artists. |
The sand dunes and seaside plants create shadows and textures that contrast against the cool blue and green sea in the background, which provides views from calm ripples touching the shoreline on summer days to huge waves crashing in onto wind swept sand during turbulent winter storms. |
The wetlands that sit tucked behind the dunes have a variety of wildlife, especially birds, that make sitting quietly on a warm day so enjoyable, as you never know what may fly into view, or how the shadows will change as the angle of the light alters from hour to hour. |
